Catching up on Project 365

My goal for this weekend was to catch up on my Project 365 as best as I could.  I hadn't done any journaling since May & I needed to upload a few months worth of my daily photos to Costco so I can add them to my album (hopefully) this week.

Here's some of my completed pages..well, some are missing a photo/journaling.  -Just for the record, I'm not stressing when I miss days because I can always fill those in with photos of objects around the house, mail, and other ephemera.  And I'm not stressed about getting behind because recording even half the year is better than not recording any of it & I'm pretty confident that I'll finish this year anyways.

Smoky Sky

There are four fires burning around the LA area today and I think all the smoke is some how coming to my home even though I'm fairly far away from the actual fires.  While we spent much of the day inside, I did pop my head out a few times to snap some photos of the sky....love the (early) sunset photos.

Masculine Birthday Card

EPB-Card_Happy Birthday-Man This past weekend my wonderful husband told me at the last minute that we were going to his brother's birthday lunch....I had about 10 minutes to make a card & so I grabbed the tag that came off some clothes (from Target) & got to work.

(The original tag I recycled for this card)

All of the stamps I used are Tim's Stamper's Anonymous except for the words which are Making Memories.  I actually wanted to use a larger size "Happy Birthday" stamp, but I didn't have the time to look for it.

The back of that little chipboard star charm had advertising on it, so I punched out a circle of black card stock and glued it on.  Also, I ran some card stock through my crimper before lining the back of the recycled tag.

I think it turned out pretty cute for being so rushed.

Scrapbook Layout: Locked Out

If you scroll back through my last few blog post you'll see that I've been trying to complete the stack of layouts I have here that have been neglected.  Most of them are from events I've gone to & so I had to wait until I got home to add photos, journaling or other things...well, as you can see, I stink at finishing them.

EPB-LO_LockedOut This is another layout that i started at the Freckle Friend/MAMBI crop to benefit Autism, although this one isn't a make-n-take...it's my own creation.

(Click on any of these photos to enlarge them)

That photo of my niece always cracks me up.  She always wants to help & hates being locked out of the kitchen when it's not safe for her to be in there.

EPB-LO_LockedOut-CloseUp1 I cut out the title using my Silhouette (using the  Berlin Sans FB Demi Bold font) and then freehand outlined each letter with a Sakura Glaze pen and Atyou Spica pen.  Both the "c" and the "t" are popped up with foam dots to give it a bit of dimension.

EPB-LO_LockedOut-CloseUp2 I used a Stampin' Up flower stamp, a Glaze pen, and some Stickles for the flowers in the lower right side of the layout and an October Afternoon stamp around the circle in the bottom cornor of the photo.

EPB-LO_LockedOut-CloseUp3

EPB-LO_LockedOut-CloseUp4 Oh, and the papers are all October Afternoon except for the background one which is Making Memories.  Which as it turns out must me my cat's favorite paper since she chewed up the cornor of it when I was mid way done with it.  I had to iron the paper & then glue it back together.

-Crazy cat!

Catching up on half-done scrapbook layouts

EPB-LO_CureAutism-FFCrop Ok....waaaaaaaaaayyy back in June 2008 I went to a crop to support Autism thatFreckle Friends andMe And My Big Ideas put together.  Both of these layouts were started there and now they are official complete!

What's funny about working on a layout from so long ago is that you don't remember why you've adhered stuff in those places & what your original plan was...so you just have to go with the flow.

This first one was a make-n-take using the Canon Selphy printer...which was really fun to play with.

Click on the photos if you'd like to see them bigger.
