Happy Days at Spark

When the design team at Simple Scrapper was discussing print tray projects amongst ourselves for this month's project. I just happened to run across a project on Pintrest using muffin tins and then had the idea to create this:

I used photos from last year's Spark No.2...which is a really fun and creative event that takes place in the fall in Utah.  -I think there's still spots open for this year if you're interested.  ;)

I made some of the flat stickers more 3-D by applying Mod Podge Dimensional Magic over them like the gumball machine below.  Here's a photo of when I first applied it (before it dried).  I love how the MPDM flows out of the bottle and forms the perfect dome over what you want embellished.  I let it dry over night, but the bottle says it usually takes about 3 hours to dry....although I'm sure that's dependent on how much you use and where you live.

Oh, and to make my twine go loopy like that I just dipped it into Mod Podge, squeezed out the excess, and then shaped it into loops and let it dry.

I'll have this project over at Remember When if you want to check it out in person.

Flower Shadow Box

I filled this 12"x12" shadow box up with some of Imaginisce's new release of Roly Rosies.  It was so fun play with these by adding chalk ink and paint to them.

Here's a close up of the individual flowers...click on the photo to get a bigger view of them.

I used my Silhouette Studio software to create the text and then cut it out of vinyl and added it on top of the glass.

And for those of you with Silhouettes, here's the cuts!  I actually made two different versions of them, so feel free to take whichever one you want (or both!)  When you create something with it please let me know.  ;)

Welcome Spring!

It's actually feeling a bit more like summer this week with the temps being up in the 90's here.  I'm so thankful for the sunshine and that the winds died down!

Here's a spring frame I created for using my Cricut (Paper Lace cartridge), Gypsy, and Imaginisce stuff:

Mixed Media Canvas: Always bring your own sunshine

Here's another She Art canvas.  I held off blogging about it because I'm not in love with the way the "always bring your own" part of the the text & thought about painting over it and trying something different...but since it's been about 2 weeks and I haven't done that yet I figure I'll just live with it for now.  ;)

The inspiration for the fence came from my (almost) daily walks.  We have the fences lining most of the main streets and the yellow flowers (climbing roses???) grow all over them.  It's really pretty in real life...this cell phone shot doesn't do it justice...but it's all I have for right now.
