Yay, new pencils!! And a box to put them in!

Got pencils?

Erin Bassett - Imaginisce - Geek Is Chic - Pencil Box 2

As soon as I saw them in all their glory in the Target back-to-school area I grabbed two boxes just for me.  :)  I may be a digi girl in most areas of my life, but I still love me some old school pencils!!

Erin Bassett - Imaginisce - Geek Is Chic - Pencil Box 1

I've had this paper mache pencil box in my "stuff to be altered" box in the garage for years.  Literally, years.  I think the new Imaginisce Geek is Chic line is perfect for it! And that gorgeous turquoise trim I got from Karla at the last Remember When scrapbook garage sale.  And I used my d-stress tool along the edges to give it a nice old, used look.

I cut the "pencils" out with my Silhouette using the font Candice.

Back to School Time!

It's hard to believe it's that time of year again!  (Boy, the summer just zoomed by!!)

I'm excited for my niece today....it's her first day of kindergarten! I can't believe she's a school kid now.  (Good luck at school V!!)

And just in time for school, Imaginisce is releasing their school themed line "Geek Is Chic"...I used it to create this layout of Janice's son's first day of 3rd grade. I kept the journaling to a minimum so she can add to it when I send it to her. (Fingers crossed that will happen soon Janice!!)

So have the children in your life started back to school yet?  Most of the ones in my area went back last week.

A Favorite Photo: 3 Generations

When my niece was out here visiting this summer we had a great time going over to see my Grandma (and her Great Grandma)!

It's funny how the three of us are so similar. We are all creative and really enjoy "doing" and "making." I wish that we all lived close enough to be able to do that sort of thing together more...but hey, I'll take the time that we do have together.  ;)

Here's a scrapbook page I did with one of the many photos we took that day:

I used one of the August Simple Scrapper sketch for it along with a Studio Calico kit and a couple of other doo-dads I had handy.  So often my layouts use whatever is out on my desk already...I guess I'm either too lazy to dig through stuff or I'm inspired by seeing it...or maybe both LOL.

The "a favorite photo" is a Silhouette shape...I just ungrouped it and cut it out in different cardstocks (and inked the edges of the blue letters) and then adhered it to my page.
