Spark 3: the projects

As promised, here's a closer look at the projects we did at Spark 3.

(Note: I'll post about my embroidered shirt once I find it....I think I put it somewhere safe so I wouldn't lose it!)

Halloween Tag

I know I've said it before, but it's really hard to believe how fast this year is flying by.  To think that it's almost Halloween (which is when the SoCal weather usually switches to fall-ish temps) is exciting!  I love the cooler weather fall brings and knowing that Thanksgiving and Christmas are coming up!!

I whipped up a quick little gift tag (and a couple of friendly ghosts) for a friend that needs a little pick-me-up.

I love colored tags! I think I picked up a few of these ones earlier this year from Treasured Memories in Thousand Oaks.  Having my tag pre-colored made it quick to just stamp the pumpkins on (made by Unity Stamps) and add some color and text with my Zig pens.

One of my favorite pens is the Calligraphy Marker.  Even though I'm not really great at calligraphy it's fun to use it to write with.  I actually stamped the text in light gray first & then traced over it with the pen to make the words my own.  Since the pen has two tips to it (2.0mm & 5.0mm) it's fun to use both of them to add emphasis to certain words.

I also made a couple of quick friendly ghosts from Fancy Pants filter paper.  I just cut the scalloped circle in half and folded each half into a cone.  I added the eyes with a Zig Millennium pen that I use all the time for journaling.  -They are so quick & easy that it's a fun project for kids to do!

Spark 3: The photos

I'm back from SPARK!

I was blessed to be able to go again this year...and so thankful that some of my best friends were able to join me!  And as always it was great to see those friends that I only see once or twice a year...it's like a reunion of sorts!

Well, with out further ado, here's some of the photos I took...I'll share the class projects with you later this week...here's the projects we made.

Planning Ahead: A Thanksgiving Craft Project

How does your family express graditude at Thanksgiving (or really any time of year?)  We've done a lot of different ideas over the years...like last year we did Becky's idea at Thanksgiving dinner and it turned out cute....wish I could find a photo of how it turned out, but I've searched and searched & can't find it.  :(

This year I have another idea.  I made this little folder to hold tags that state what we are greatful for this year.  Since we're going to a big family & friends dinner this year I'll probably just have my imediate family do it.
