ScrapFest Canada 2014
ScrapFest was really fun, but since I was working with Karen Ellis and the gang from The Art House Studio I wouldn't have expected anything different!
Karen made me this nice canvas sign for my demo area in the booth...
On the first day I showed them how to use ScanNCutâ„¢'s "direct cut" and/or "scan to cut data" features and we cut out some really awesome things out of stencil material and gelli print papers.
While I always give people the opportunity to write or doodle their own designs most people don't take me up on it (I don't really blame them, I had picked out some super cute designs that they could choose from!) But this awesome lady was one of the few that did! She was so happy that the cute cat she drew got cut out so quickly! -Love it!
This stencil design was one of the popular choices to cut too. I'll post how I created the design soon and then you'll be making up bunches of your own stencils too!
On the second day we cut out some of the pre-installed designs with shrink plastic (aka: shrinky dinks) SO FUN! It really took us all back to our younger days.
Since I was in Canada, Karen was sweet and got me some Tim Hortons coffee. Mmmm!
I also had a Canadian Oh Henry bar. -Sugar rush! But I so needed it to keep up with all the people that came by the booth! It was non-stop talking, scanning , and cutting!
I took a selphie in front of the photo board before I left...not my best look since I was pretty pooped by then, but it represents a great memory of the trip and gives me a photo to scrapbook when I get around to it.
Oh, and it rained while I was there! Boy how this California girl loved that!
So Canadian friends, if you came by the booth thank you! I loved meeting you in real life! Make sure you keep in touch on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter so I can see all the fun stuff you're making.
