Sneak Peeks Of My True Scrap Class

I'm so excited about my class!!  All the teachers are checking out our virtual classrooms for True Scrap (classes run: April 7 - 9) and I think it's really going to be cool to have the interaction with everyone who will be attending class...and for those of you who got the option to watch the classes any time you want, feel free to email me (mail4erinb at gmail.com) with any questions you have about my class.  You'll be the priority of my in-box!

Ok, so a bit more info about my class....

- This class is for all skill levels!  I'll be using a variety of digital die-cutting machines: the Cricut Expression  (with & without the Gypsy) and the Silhouette...but you don't need any of the machines to learn the main techniques I'll be teaching.

- I will be showing you glimpses as to how to work each machine so that you understand how I cut out the shapes I'm using...but since time is short I won't be going through the basics of the machines for every technique. (I don't see a need to repeat things you probably already know!  And if you don't own that machine you might not care how to operate it!!)

- I will show you helpful Cricut and Silhouette tips and the tools I love to use.

-  I will be using a variety of artsy products that you may or may not already own.  Don't stress...you can watch the techniques and then decide what products you want to add to your stash.  Since the classes are short I think it's best to just grab drink, kick back and watch, and if you're attending the live event have fun chatting with everyone!

Ok...now, how about some sneak peeks?

I'm addicted to the letter E!

I don't know what it is as I've grown older (especially considering I didn't like my name when I was a kid), but I have gotten more & more attached to the letter E!

When I was in Utah last year I saw this "E" at Star Mill and totally wanted it, but ended up leaving it behind.  Boo hoo.

I was inspired to create this layout by one I saw in the February issue of Scrapbook Trends by Rita Oliverio.

I used my Distrezz-It-All to distress the edges of my photo.  I then used my Cricut to cut out that row of hearts on my background paper and then I adhered the music note paper behind them to give it a reversed applique effect.  I also used it to cut out those squiggles at the bottom of the page. (Cartridges used: "Create a Critter " and "Cake Basics")

I also used some Glimmer Mist on the Maya Road trims.  Gee, I love those trims!!!  {This is the back side of this piece of trim...the front side is all lacy!}

Scrapbooking outside my element!

Having only nieces I tend to scrapbook girly things most of the time, so when I was assigned this BoBunny line for one of my design team projects at Remember When I was a bit outside my element and begged my friend Dana for pics of her adorable son!

I used another one of the March sketched from Simple Scrapper to make this and had fun jazzing up the patterned background paper with some of the white metal i-rock studs.

I made those epoxy doo-dads with my Epiphany Crafts tool and used the "Graphically Speaking" Cricut cartridge (which is less then $20 here!!) to cut out that star border.
